Deena Conrad Paper Holder November 08th, 2018 - 03:41:59
The paper towel holders that are available today and that's actually probably the hardest part of the job is picking out the one that best suits. You this is an example of the plastic model and it has the advantage of being economical, but it has a disadvantage. It may eventually break like mine did that's a way to replace it. I have selected a stainless steel model and I select the one that actually doesn't have hinges, so there's not going to be a chance of breaking.
Towel holders and this one was really the best rated other kinds. he first thing you need to do is measure and see how thick the bottom of your cabinet is. So this one here is 3/4 of an inch thick, so you can't use screws that are any longer than 3/4 of an inch because it'll poke through here and that'll make the lady to house very upset if she sees little screw heads popping through her cabinet.
So remember before you start to measure your cabinet thickness and don't use screws that are any longer than the cabinet thickness to remove your old paper towel holder, it's a very easy task of just removing the screws. This comes right off. I have the new paper towel holder out of the packaging and it seems to be a nice heavy-duty stainless steel paper towel holder.
Now, this is the kind that can go either on the wall or it can go under your cabinet and the screws they give. You for the paper towel holder are really too long to use under the cabinet because at least with my cabinet, this is only 3/4 of an inch thick on the bottom. These are about an inch and a quarter inch long, so they're like a half-inch too long. I'm going to use the screws that came with the old paper towel holder, there's about 5/8 of this long.
If you're going to install the paper towel holder underneath your cabinet you'll need to calculate how far back is your preference to place it? I'm putting my paper towel holder that, where that start of the metal is one and a quarter inches from the bottom of the cabinet, or if you go from the center of the screw, it's two and a half inches from the start of the cabinet. To help start the screw holes, I was just drilling a little pilot hole. This is a 1/16 bit when you have the paper towel holder right where you want it to drill a little pilot hole just to help get your screw started, and then this about a 5/8 inch long screw, but right in there and with the pilot hole, drilled.
